日月潭是台灣最大的天然湖泊，位於南投縣魚池鄉，海拔約 748 公尺。湖面以拉魯島（邵族聖地）為界，北半部形似日輪、南半部形似弦月，故名日月潭。

遊湖搭船是最經典的體驗方式，航線串連水社碼頭、玄光寺碼頭、伊達邵碼頭三個主要停靠點。船程全程約 1.5 小時，沿途可遠眺群山環繞的湖面美景。玄光寺旁的阿嬤茶葉蛋（香菇茶葉蛋）是必吃名物。

English Introduction

Sun Moon Lake is Taiwan’s largest natural lake, situated in Yuchi Township at 748 meters elevation. Lalu Island (sacred to the indigenous Thao tribe) divides the lake — the northern half resembles a sun, the southern half a crescent moon, hence the name.

The boat tour is the quintessential experience, connecting three major piers: Shuishe, Xuanguang Temple, and Ita Thao. The full circuit takes about 1.5 hours with stunning views of the mountain-ringed lake. Don’t miss the famous “Grandma’s Tea Eggs” (mushroom-braised tea eggs) near Xuanguang Temple.
