二二八和平紀念公園位於台北市中心，原名台北新公園，建於日治時期 1899 年。1947 年二二八事件後，為紀念受難者而更名。園內有二二八紀念碑、紀念館，以及日治時期遺留的建築與造景。

公園佔地約 7 公頃，綠蔭豐富，是台北市民的都市綠洲。園區內的國立台灣博物館（建於 1908 年）也值得一看，是台灣最古老的博物館。

The 228 Peace Memorial Park sits in the heart of Taipei, originally built during the Japanese colonial era in 1899. It was renamed to commemorate the victims of the February 28 Incident in 1947 — a pivotal event in Taiwan’s modern history when government suppression of civil unrest led to widespread casualties.

The park spans about 7 hectares with lush greenery, a memorial monument, and the 228 Memorial Museum. It’s a peaceful urban oasis and a reminder of Taiwan’s journey toward democracy.
