七星潭（Qixingtan Beach）

七星潭位於花蓮市東北方，是一處優美的月牙形礫石海灘，面向太平洋。不同於一般沙灘，七星潭以光滑圓潤的鵝卵石著稱，海水湛藍清澈，背後是中央山脈壯闊山景。

名為「潭」實為海灣，早年附近確有小湖泊群，因日治時期闢建機場而消失。這裡是觀賞日出和星空的絕佳地點，也是花蓮人最愛的散步去處。注意此處為斷崖地形，海浪暗流強勁，禁止下水游泳。

English Introduction

Qixingtan (Seven Star Lake) Beach is a stunning crescent-shaped pebble beach on the northeast coast of Hualien City, facing the Pacific Ocean. Unlike typical sandy beaches, it features smooth, rounded stones and crystal-clear turquoise water, with the Central Mountain Range as a dramatic backdrop.

Despite its name meaning “lake,” it’s actually an ocean bay. The original small lakes nearby disappeared when the Japanese built an airfield during the colonial era. It’s a popular spot for watching sunrises and stargazing. Note: swimming is prohibited due to strong undercurrents and steep underwater drop-offs.
